I’m curious, could you switch to the standard 250mhz sampling rate?
Just to be sure: when you say “sequence trigger does not help” can you elaborate? Does it trig without any activity?
If yes, can you show me a screenshot of your trigger sequence configuration?
Finally, when you say that the device triggers without any signal, can you please tell me if the green led on the active probe is blinking?
I didn’t use the sequence trigger at all so far because there is no dedicated fixed sequence coming from my target at the moment which I could use as a trigger condition.
With a logic change trigger on one quiet channel after clicking “Start” the LED changes from green directly to blue blinking and then the captured data is displayed - which is all constantly on high level for all channels because the pull-ups are activated and nothing is connected to the triggering channel.
Thanks for that info.
I have tried numerous times, i was never able to see that false trigger situation, even at 10MHz sampling rate.
That being said, i see where it could come from, and chances are it’s already fixed in the next firmware update, as the trigger architecture changed, specially with regard to changes in sampling rate.
The update is being deployed in the next hour or so.
The devices firmware is updated automatically when starting a new ScanaStudio version? Is this process visible from the outside or done quietly in the background?
Yes,
You just need to update ScanaStudio, the rest will be handled automatically.
By the way, if you revert to an old verison of ScanaStudio, it will automatically install the compatible firmware verion, so you never endup with a firmware that is uncompatible with ScanaStudio.
